“Ukraine’s Unnoticed Humanitarian Crisis: Impact and Solutions”

International Human Rights Commission will participate in conference conducted by "Highway Liberty" – “Ukraine’s Unnoticed Humanitarian Crisis: Impact and Solutions,” to be held January 16, 2016 in Toronto, Canada.
This event aims to be an informational outlet on the current status of internally displaced persons within Ukraine and to provide an opportunity for open dialogue or discussion of the issue.
The conference will be premiering a non-profit educational documentary movie, “The Displaced: A Point of No Return,” organized and filmed by HL activists exploring the lives of internally displaced Ukrainians.
At conference has also invited several local and international speakers from various human rights organizations to share their outlook on the crisis.
The event intends to cover various topics like:

Vice-Dean for International Relations of Law Faculty at the Donetsk National University, the Associate Professor at the Constitutional and International Law Department and the Director of the International and European Law Centre.
“Integration, Social Adaptation and Protection of Internally Displaced Persons”

Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs; Humanitarian Affairs Officer; Regional Coordinator-The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC); President of International Committee for Aid to Ukraine.
“HOPE worldwide’s response in Canada, USA and Ukraine to the humanitarian crises in Ukraine”
Charles Ham-the Global Disaster Response Coordinator, and Taras Kulish-the International Relations Officer of HOPE worldwide Canada will speak on the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project.
As part of the event we will be hosting a presentation and signing copies of the recently published book The Airport of the writer, journalist and photographer Mr. Sergey Loyko, documenting the military conflict in Donbass (Ukraine) and specifically, the tug-of-war for the Donetsk International Airport, which became the centrepiece of a militarized conflict in the region.

The entire ticket sales for the Conference will be collected and used by HOPE worldwide Ukraine to deliver a psycho-social and humanitarian relief programme at the Dnipropetrovsk Refugee Centre in Ukraine.
