Expert Support to the Implementation of the Ukraine Early Recovery Project

December 7th International Human Rights Commission has been involved in an expert discussion of the results of the in-depth study of the IDP situation in eastern Ukraine (involving multiple survey instruments) that was conducted in the framework of the “Expert Support to the Implementation of the Ukraine Early Recovery Project” funded by the European Union.
The study was commissioned by IRF and performed by the Kyiv International Institute for Sociology (KIIS) and the Analytical Center CEDOS in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
The goal of the research was to identify the needs of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and their plans for the future, to assess the level of interaction between IDP and host communities and the authorities, to identify mechanisms for engaging community stakeholders, strengthening their capacities to plan and realize infrastructure projects aimed at mitigating the consequences of the armed conflict in the Donbas.

During the Round Table, participants will discuss issues of social management in the context of Early Recovery Plan implementation in the eastern regions of Ukraine, engagement of local stakeholders, and possible points of tension between IDPs and their host communities. Representatives of the authorities, civil society organizations and international donor organizations that provide assistance to IDPs and participate in the recovery of territories that suffered from the armed conflict are most.
Discussion this study with the partners, experts, representatives of the government and donors.
